Visit UsThe Y2K Spitfire Restoration Project is located in the beautiful Comox Valley on the east side of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. More specifically, we are located in the Tet Walston Heritage Hangar about .7kms down the road from CFB Comox. The Comox Valley is approximately 35 minutes flying time or about four hours (via ferry & driving) from Vancouver, British Columbia or three hours north of Victoria, British Columbia (driving on the Island Highway). For more specific information on getting to the Comox Valley, visit the Tourism Comox Valley Tourism web site or the Town of Comox web site. Below is a map showing the portion of Comox where you can find the Tet Walston Heritage Hangar, home of the Y2K Spitfire Restoration Project. If driving, you would go through Courtenay, after coming off the Island Highway, and follow the signs leading to the Comox Airport or CFB Comox. The signs will direct you up Ryan Road which ends at the front gate of CFB Comox. Turn right at the intersection and follow the road for about .7kms and turn left into our parking lot when you see our sign. Upon entering the parking lot, you will see the Tet Walston Heritage Hangar, which is a beige building with a blue steel roof. We look forward to seeing you there on Saturdays when you visit the Comox Valley.
For those interested in visiting our parent organization, the Comox Air Force Museum, it is located at the main gate of CFB Comox and is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
